In 2016 I had lumbar surgery. A few days after I was discharged from the hospital my symptoms began. The back pain was unbearable, I didn’t eat, I slept and the headache was terrible especially with the lights on.

My husband brought me to the ER and he says I was given many antibiotics. Turns out I had “Bacterial Meningitis “.

The next day I had surgery again, I had to lay down still without even moving my head for several days. There were some hoses in my back doing I don’t know what.

About ten days passed, my memory is cloudy, I can’t remember much, what I remember is that I saw horrible things, turns out those were hallucinations. I was in the hospital for over two weeks.

Once discharged, I had to be on antibiotics for six months. And now, I’m noticing I am very forgetful, I need to place reminders on my walls. I am clumsier than ever. Could this be an after effect of the meningitis? (All this happened in the USA)
