Hi, I'm Reda. I live in Morocco and I'm 21. Four months ago I had a fever and a constant headache. I went to a doctor, but he said it`s nothing serious, it's just a fever.

"I went to sleep and the next thing I remember is waking up in critical care resuscitation unit."

So I went home. Two days later the fever and headache got worse, I felt exhausted all day, I went to sleep and the next thing I remember is waking up in critical care resuscitation unit.

The next day they took me to the neuro unit. I was hospitalized there for 25 days; injected by zovirax every sic hours and amoxicilin every eight hours. My mum told me that the day I went to sleep, she woke up at three am to my scream and found me on the floor having a tonico-clonic epileptic seizure. She freaked out and took me to the ER.

They couldn't perform the lumbar puncture because I was having a series of seizures one after the other. After the seizures stopped they waited for me to wake up, but I didn't. My eyes were open but there was no response, that's when I was taken to resuscitation unit.

It took me two months to recover with full hearing and sight; I still had residual headaches. They have disappeared now. I had three seizures during this four month period and my back hurts after minimal effort. I lost nearly 60 lbs, I weigh roughly 100lbs now, but I'm still recovering little by little.
