About the event

Reach new heights and experience the world from a whole new perspective by taking on the challenge of a skydive in the fight against meningitis.

You’ll be jumping from 10,000 feet and freefalling at speeds of up to 150mph, before gliding back down the earth.

The tandem jump is the most popular form of skydive where you are harnessed to a professional instructor. The training and jump are completed in one day and no previous experience is required.

You will book your skydive through Skyline who are Britain’s leading skydive company. This means you will be able to contact them about all your skydive queries, and get advice from skydive experts.

Where can I jump?

Skyline works with 18 Drop Zones across the UK and Ireland. You can see a full list of drop zones offered here.

How much do I need to raise?

There are two options for your charity skydive:
You can either jump for ‘free’ where you will have to raise a minimum sponsorship amount, and the charity will pay for the jump. The average sponsorship is between £395 and £535 but will depend on the type of jump you choose and can vary between jump zones. You can call Skyline on 020 7424 5522 to learn more.
Or
You can pay upfront for your skydive by booking through Skyline independently. Jump costs vary from drop zone to drop zone. If you choose this option, there is no minimum sponsorship, so all the money you raise will be donated to our cause.

What if I don’t reach the minimum sponsorship, but I am not able to pay for the jump myself?

We are only able to cover the cost if you raise the minimum sponsorship level for the type of jump you have booked, to ensure it is cost effective for us. However, you will be able to rearrange your jump for a later date if you need more time to complete your fundraising.

Deposit

On booking, you will be required to pay a deposit of £70. This deposit applies to all jump types and sponsorship methods.

What’s included?

  • Free MRF t-shirt to wear on your skydive
  • Fundraising pack and skydiving guide
  • Support from our fundraising team
  • Support from Skyline

Can anyone do a skydive?

Your chosen Drop Zone will have requirements for age and health. Please contact them directly to find out if you will be able to jump. Typically, you will need to be over 16 years of age and under 15 stone in weight. Pre-existing medical conditions will not necessarily prevent you from taking part.

Coronavirus Updates

Skyline are always updating their website with information regarding skydives and the current situation. You can find more information and ways to contact them here. At present, if your skydive is cancelled due to Coronavirus restrictions or weather, you will be able to reschedule your jump for free.
