Skydiving

Reach new heights and experience the world from a whole new perspective by taking on the challenge of a skydive in the fight against meningitis.

You’ll be jumping from 10,000 feet and freefalling at speeds of up to 150mph, before gliding back down the earth.

The tandem jump is the most popular form of skydive, where you are harnessed to a professional instructor. The training and jump are completed in one day and no previous experience is required.

You will book your skydive through Skyline who are Britain’s leading skydive company. This means you will be able to contact them about all your skydive queries, and get advice from skydive experts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Skyline works with 18 Drop Zones across the UK and Ireland. You can see a full list of drop zones offered here.

On booking, you will be required to pay a deposit of £70. This deposit applies to all jump types and sponsorship methods.  There are two options for your charity skydive:

Charity sponsorship

Raise a minimum sponsorship target for Meningitis Research Foundation and the charity will pay for the jump. The average sponsorship is between £395 and £535 but will depend on the type of jump you choose and can vary between jump zones.

Pay for your place

You can pay upfront for your skydive by booking through Skyline independently. Jump costs vary from drop zone to drop zone. If you choose this option, there is no minimum sponsorship, so all the money you raise will be donated to the charity.

Your chosen Drop Zone will have requirements for age and health. Please contact them directly to find out if you will be able to jump. Typically, you will need to be over 16 years of age and under 15 stone in weight. Pre-existing medical conditions will not necessarily prevent you from taking part.
