About the event

Reach new heights and experience the world from a whole new perspective by taking on the challenge of a skydive in the fight against meningitis.

You’ll be jumping from 10,000 feet and freefalling at speeds of up to 150mph, before gliding back down to earth.

The tandem jump is the most popular form of skydive where you are harnessed to a professional instructor. The training and jump are completed in one day and no previous experience is required.

What options do I have for the jump?

The availability of each jump type depends on the Drop Zone. Please contact them to find out exactly what they are able to offer.

Where can I jump?

How much do I need to raise?

The sponsorship is between £400 and £535 depending on the type of jump you choose as shown in the table below. The minimum sponsorship level for each type of jump remains the same regardless of the Drop Zone.

Tandem Skydive Static Line Accelerated Freefall
Minimum sponsorship level for a free jump £395 £360 £535

If you book directly with the Drop Zone as opposed to booking through an agency and you pay for the jump yourself then there is no minimum sponsorship target. Jump costs vary and are typically around £190 for a tandem skydive.

What if I don’t reach the minimum sponsorship, but I am not able to pay for the jump myself?

We are only be able to cover the cost if you raise the minimum sponsorship level for the type of jump you have booked, to ensure it is cost effective for us. However, you will be able to rearrange your jump for a later date if you need more time to complete your fundraising. There may be a small admin fee to change your jump, depending on the policy of the Drop Zone.

What’s included?

  • Free MRF t-shirt to wear on your skydive
  • Fundraising pack and skydiving guide
  • Support from staff

Can anyone do a skydive?

Your chosen Drop Zone will have requirements for age and health. Please contact them directly to find out if you will be able to jump. Typically, you will need to be over 16 years of age and under 15 stone in weight. Pre-existing medical conditions will not necessarily prevent you from taking part.
