Remembering lives lost to meningitis and septicaemia

Every year, Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) dedicates its Christmas to remembering lives lost to meningitis and septicaemia. The 2021 Remembrance Gallery, which contains photos and messages dedicated to those who have died, is now available to view.

Bacterial meningitis and septicaemia is a deadly illness which kills hundreds of thousands of people around the world every year.

At Meningitis Research Foundation, we are dedicated to defeating meningitis as part of the WHO Global Roadmap to Defeat Meningitis by 2030. We work on behalf of those whose lives have been forever changed by the impact of meningitis, and in memory of those lost to this terrible disease.

We know that the Christmas season can be a difficult time for those bereaved by meningitis, whether you celebrate it or not. Our Support Services are here for anyone struggling with bereavement, and can be contacted on 080 8800 3344 / helpine@meningitis.org / via live chat on our website.

The MRF Membership and Support team are here for you for any questions you might have about meningitis and septicaemia and their effects on you or your family and friends.
