MRF CEO appointed as a UWE Business Fellow

We are proud to announce that the University of the West of England (UWE) made our CEO, Vinny Smith a Business Fellow recently.

Since joining MRF in 2015, Vinny has been instrumental in developing a new brand identity, website and strategy for the charity. The Foundation has held governments to account on vaccine policy and worked with the World Health Organization and an expert global task force to create a global roadmap to defeat meningitis by 2030.

UWE Bristol Business Fellows programme brings together individuals with a range of industry backgrounds, senior leaders across the region from a wide variety of sectors including utilities, media, social enterprises, health, professional services, education, the arts and construction.

Business Fellows work closely with the Bristol Business School and Bristol Law School in a variety of ways, for example mentoring students, delivering guest lectures or working collaboratively with academics.

UWE Bristol partners with the West of England Initiative on its Business Fellow programme. The West of England Initiative is an integral part of the region’s policy making and decision taking.
