Funds from Radio 4 appeal support vital research project

Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) would like to thank everyone who donated to our BBC Radio 4 appeal. This helped us raise an incredible amount of £16,812.02 which has exceeded our expectations.

Thank you to MRF Patron, children’s author and poet Michael Rosen, who presented the appeal, and thank you to everyone who listened to the appeal and kindly made a donation. We are able to prevent death and disability for many people each year thanks to your support.

Your funds donated in this appeal are supporting a research project aiming to protect babies from meningitis and sepsis in the earliest days and weeks of their life by providing vaccines for pregnant women.

Again, thank you for contributing towards our vision of a world free from meningitis and septicaemia. A world where more people are protected through vaccinations. A world where people who do get the diseases get the most effective diagnosis and treatment possible. A world where people affected and their families have the best support and information.
