Isabell Wachera - Meningitis in your words
I started having headaches in July 2023. I went to the hospital where a scan was carried but it came back negative. The doctors told me to take some painkillers and that all would be well.
I started having seizures and the doctors said that nothing was wrong because the CT scan and MRI scan showed nothing. I was surviving with painkillers.

In October, things became worse with dizziness, seizures, headaches, memory loss and absent-mindedness. That's when the doctor requested a lumbar puncture, and I was diagnosed with TB meningitis.

It hasn't been an easy journey. I am still dealing with after effects, but so far, so good.

Meningitis is devastating but does not kill. All you need is a supporting system to give you hope and you will get over it.
