Our Ambassadors

Find out about becoming a Meningitis Research Foundation Ambassador and hear from those that already support the cause.

Our incredible Meningitis Research Foundation Ambassadors are at the heart of our mission. They extend our reach across the entire UK, with a special focus on connecting with under-served communities.

Ambassadors share their meningitis journeys through talks, presentations, interviews and events. They've experienced it themselves or through a close family member. These powerful, first-hand accounts help people understand the disease and its impact, inspiring others to join the fight to defeat meningitis.

Being an Ambassador is a rewarding but challenging role. It’s important that you’re self-aware, in the right place in your life to be able to share your experiences and know when you need to step away from the role. If being an Ambassador isn't right for you, you can still get involved in many meaningful ways. We’re grateful for everyone’s contribution and interest.

We're actively expanding our Ambassador network across the entire UK, aiming to reach as many different communities as possible. We particularly encourage applications from individuals in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and from minority ethnic backgrounds and other under-represented communities.

Please note that not all applicants will be selected for the role. Decisions will be based on suitability. We'll prioritize candidates from under-represented regions and backgrounds, and those who can fill existing skills gaps.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the National Lottery, Hodge Foundation, The Childwick Trust for their generous funding of this program.
