Reading Half Marathon

Reading Half Marathon takes places on a flat fast course, taking in the highlights of the city centre of Reading where you will experience huge crowd support whilst also passing through the beautiful grounds of the University campus.

A race for the experienced athlete looking for a new PB through to the complete beginner looking for a friendly safe and fun environment to run in.

We don’t charge a registration fee for our charity places in the Reading Half Marathon, so sign up now! We ask you to raise a minimum sponsorship of £250. If you'd like one of our places, hit Sign up now.

If you’ve already secured your own place in the Reading Half Marathon and would like to raise money for us, we don't have a minimum sponsorship level, hit I have a place already.

By becoming part of our team you will be helping to bring a world free from meningitis and septicaemia a step closer.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or disable in hours. Although anyone of any age can get the diseases, babies, children and young adults are most at risk.

Your contribution will enable us to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one, like Gina, or are coping with after effects.

Whether you’d like to apply for one of our charity places or already have your own place in the half marathon we’d be delighted if you ran for us. In return for raising money for us, we’ll supply you with a running pack and all the support you’ll need including:

• Training advice and a full training plan for the event

• Fundraising information to help you meet and beat your fundraising target
• Meningitis Research Foundation running vest or T-shirt to wear on the day!
