I’ll never forget the day my life changed. Meningitis arrived silently, but with a violence I could never have imagined. Fever, intense headaches, confusion… every minute was a struggle to stay conscious.
What I went through wasn’t just physical. It was fear, the anxiety of not knowing if I would survive. And then there were the nights in the hospital, the endless tests, the uncertainties about my future.
But I survived. And that’s why I want to speak out. Because meningitis spares no one and can change a life in an instant, it’s essential to know the signs, react quickly and protect yourself.
Today, I share my story to honour those who weren’t so lucky, and to remind everyone that prevention and awareness can save lives. Meningitis took a lot from me, but it will never take my voice.
Meningitis struck suddenly, filling me with fear and pain. Every minute counted, every treatment was a battle. I survived, and today I want to tell others: stay vigilant, act quickly, and never be alone. Even in the midst of illness, there is hope. Sharing our experience can save lives and offer support to those going through this ordeal.
