Je n’oublierai jamais le jour où ma vie a basculé. La méningite est arrivée silencieusement, mais avec une violence que je n’aurais jamais imaginée. Fièvre, maux de tête intenses, confusion… chaque minute était un combat pour rester conscient.
Ce que j’ai traversé n’était pas seulement physique. C’était la peur, l’angoisse de ne pas savoir si je m’en sortirais. Et puis il y a eu les nuits à l’hôpital, les examens incessants, les incertitudes sur mon avenir.
Mais j’ai survécu. Et c’est pour ça que je veux parler. Parce que la méningite n’épargne personne et qu’elle peut changer une vie en un instant. Il est essentiel de connaître les signes, de réagir vite et de se protéger.
Aujourd’hui, je partage mon histoire pour honorer ceux qui n’ont pas eu cette chance, et pour rappeler que la prévention et la sensibilisation peuvent sauver des vies. La méningite m’a pris beaucoup, mais elle ne me prendra jamais ma voix.
La méningite a frappé brusquement, m’emplissant de peur et de douleur. Chaque minute comptait, chaque traitement était un combat. Today, I share my story to honour those who weren't so lucky, and to remind everyone that prevention and awareness can save lives. Meningitis took a lot from me, but it will never take my voice.
