Focus on Meningitis

27 June 2013

Are you a great photographer or know someone who is?

That’s the question international charity Meningitis Research Foundation is asking its members as it prepares for a unique online exhibition of life after meningitis and septicaemia.

We believe our members are the best people to capture the amazing and thought provoking moments of people living with the consequences of meningitis and septicaemia.

We know many are already photographing special moments – sharing them with their family and friends – but we want to share them more widely by hosting a Focus on Meningitis exhibition on our website during our annual Meningitis Awareness Week starting 16 September 2013.

The exhibition will include a special section for mobile phone photographs and some images may be used in our free leaflets and in displays at events around the country.

You can find out more about the project and upload your photographs here

Unfortunately we cannot pay for photographs but we can credit people for any we use.

Chris Head, Chief Executive of Meningitis Research Foundation says: “We believe Focus on Meningitis will bring a completely fresh perspective to a devastating disease which affects hundreds of families in the UK every year, and thousands more around the world. We hope it will also help us promote the symptoms more widely and inspire more support for our work.”
