My husband is in hospital with bacterial meningitis, this is the 4th time in last 9 months. Neurologists think the case maybe a micro fracture to the skull although despite many MRI and CT scan no fracture has been found.
Has anyone any advice the doctors in the hospital are baffled and say they dont know what to do, this does not leave me with any confidence.

Our daughter was six months old when contacting meningitis. The initial concern we had was when laid down in her cot she immediately started to cry. We realised that by placing her in the fetal position this stopped the crying. Hence the first alarm. It was not however until the purple rash appeared was it obvious there was a bigger problem. The brochures in hospital and doctor surgerys do no make mention that if a baby displays pain or continually crys when in the prone position then that is also a sympton of meningitis.
