Hello, my name is Sue Mennear the new Helpline and Membership Officer at MRF. I have taken over from Victoria Oakey who many of you will know is now on maternity leave! We will let you know when baby arrives!
I am really excited about my new role. I have been hearing about all the different ways members are supporting our work raising funds , raising awareness and supporting others affected by meningitis and septicaemia by becoming telephone befrienders. I am also looking at new ways of involving members in our work and would love to hear your ideas!
I am looking forward to meeting members in the North of England and Scotland at our Members Day at Alnwick Castle on Saturday 4 June. I went to school in Alnwick and can tell you it is a very beautiful part of the world and the castle and grounds are very impressive - particularly if you are a fan of Harry Potter! This is a chance for us to meet members and for members to meet each other so do come if you can.
