In the last issue of Microscope we launched our Spring Appeal to help us raise £10,000 to fund vital work to run a befrienders forum, launch a new Disability Rights and Benefits guide and a booklet for people needing after-care due to meningitis and septicaemia.

Members are coming up with lots of great ideas for fundraisers for MRF’s Spring appeal. Jenny Dzafic from Woking is planning a second-hand handbag sale. She said “Bags are coming in from all quarters! We did it 2 years ago and it was such a success I am giving it another go. Everyone seems to have an unwanted handbag purchase knocking around the back of the wardrobe! Me included!”

Jenny is fundraising in memory of her daughter Jasmina who died aged 2 from meningococcal septicaemia.

If Jenny's story has inspired you to get fundraising, or you have a story to tell then get in touch with your local MRF office, or you can donate to our appeal by clicking here.
