Esther's Running Blog Part 3 - My First Run

My aim for my first run was half a mile, and I’m pleased to say I wasn’t far off. I think at this stage my main objective was just to break past the barrier of the ‘first run’. A simple lap of my local park was enough to satisfy me that I am capable of the act of running, which is enough for me for now! After five minutes as I neared the half mile I ended the run feeling pretty out of breath and rather in awe of all our Team MRF runners doing 5ks, half marathons, and even a full marathon (or more!) but I am now feeling even more determined than ever that I will reach my 10k goal.

I’m really looking forward to my next run and seeing how much I can progress. According to the training plan, I should be aiming for my first full mile on my next run. I’ll let you know how it goes!
