It happened in May 2013 and I was 42.

I can remember having a headache, which at the time I thought was a migraine. In bed, I was crying because the pain was awful. I was in the ambulance then hospital.

"I felt it crippled me, a fear that I would not recover and confidence would not return."

At the hospital, I had an injection, CAT scan and saline/antibiotic drip. After a few days, I was glad to return home, but I gave up, it just took its toll. How did I pick it up?

I felt it crippled me, a fear that I would not recover and confidence would not return. It led to depression, medication and counselling therapy.

I think it was this year I discovered this website and for me it’s my peace of mind.
