I am your average person, I always had chronic ear infections, only in my left ear, and a month ago I had an ear infection and was not feeling well. I started to get really bad migraines and throwing up.

The last thing I remember is I said my foot is numb. My daughter found me lying on the couch not making any sense. They called an ambulance and rushed me to the hospital I was almost in a coma, my legs and arms would not stop moving.

"I'm lucky to be alive the doctors said and I'm very thankful"

They found out I had bacterial meningitis and I was in ICU for 4 days, then to a ward, so I was in the hospital for a total of 2 weeks. I almost died.

I'm home now but below my left knee to my foot is still numb, the headaches are gone, I am so weak, I'm shaky, I'm very tired and don't feel like myself and I have a lot of lower back pain. They did a spinal tap twice. I'm lucky to be alive the doctors said and I'm very thankful. I do a lot of praying, but I'm worried and my brain feels scrabbled.

Whoever has lost someone or is going through this may God be with you.
