About the event

Our training day exclusively for Virgin Money London Marathon 2019 runners is taking place on November 3rd 2018. 

The day gives our TeamMRF runners a chance to meet ahead of the big day and hear from sports and fundraising professionals to help prepare for the challenge.

Please note this event is only open to runners who have a confirmed place with TeamMRF in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2019 either as a bond runner or a ballot runner. If you have a place in the marathon and would like to run for us please let us know by emailing esthert@meningitis.org.

Itinerary:

10 – 10:30
Welcome and informal meet

10:30 – 11:15
Injury prevention and endurance training – with professional personal trainer and TeamMRF 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon finisher

11:15 – 11:45
Making the most of online fundraising – with JustGiving's Online Fundraising Specialist

11:45 – 12:30
“The Big Toe and Running” talk and workshop – Claire is joining us from Richmond Osteopaths for an interactive session

12:30 – 1:15 Lunch (provided)

1:15 – 1:45
Virgin Money London Marathon weekend Q & A

1:45 – 3:30
Training run – an optional short run at the end of the day including interval training. The run will be led by professional coaches.

3:30 – 4
Return to JustGiving to change and close of the day.
