About the event

We’ve got just the mission to keep you super-active this summertime!  The Superhero Series offers both the Superhero Tri at Dorney Lake in Windsor and the At Home Superheroes event.

Superhero Tri

The Superhero Tri is the UK’s only disability sports event: a fun, pressure-free day of sports which puts people with disabilities first. There are no restrictions or requirements on use of special equipment, and no cut off times. Captains and their Sidekicks take part as a team so it’s a real team effort and a great day out for everyone.

The event at Dorney Lake allows Superheroes to ‘fly solo’ for all three tri stages (a swim, cycle and push/run) or they bring a crew of up to five and share the challenges. Superheroes can bring a Sidekick to assist them for one or all stages, or take on the stages with friends and family to relay a stage each. This event takes place on 20th August 2022, and you can choose to cover 3 distances as a team;

  • Sprint Superhero Tri - Swim 150m, Bike 3km, Push/run 1km
  • Half Superhero Tri - Swim 400m, Bike 10km, Push/run 2.5km
  • Full Superhero Tri - Swim 750m, Bike 20km, Push/run 5km

Superheroes at Home

The Superheroes at Home is an adaptation of the Superhero Tri event. You’re free to choose your own distance to complete as a team between the 23rd July and 20th August however you like. You can speed through the distance however you like - whether you choose to run, hop, wheel or dance the funky chicken around your living room or local park.

Helping to defeat meningitis

We are continuing towards our goal of a world free from meningitis and septicaemia and we can only do that with support from people like you.

To help reach that goal you can either set up a team JustGiving page to share with your friends and family and set your own target or you can share our main At Home Superheroes JustGiving page to help raise vital funds. This event has no minimum fundraising target, just raise whatever you can!

Your contribution will enable us to fund vital research into the disease, provide life-saving awareness information, and support those who have lost a loved one or are coping with the after effects of this disease.
