About the event

Join us at Kew Gardens for the Richmond RunFest 2021 on the 11th/12th September for either a 10K or a Half Marathon.

These races have one of the most beautiful starts of any running race in Europe.  As we have lost almost 50% of our income this year, your support is more vital now than ever before so join #TeamMRF and take part in this incredible event to run for a world free from meningitis.

All of our runners can expect to receive:

  • Fundraising pack and access to our online resources
  • Meningitis Research Foundation running vest
  • Award-winning fundraising support from Jenny, your dedicated charity contact
  • Regular updates to keep you informed of everything you need to know
  • Access to our #TeamMRF  Facebook page so you can get to know and support your fellow runners, and celebrate each others training/fundraising achievements!
  • All finishers will also receive a great medal and a quality Nike technical t-shirt!

How you're helping

Right now, our work has never been more important to ensure we do not allow more lives to be lost from meningitis on top of the tragic impact that COVID-19 has already had on the world. Deaths from meningitis in the UK and Ireland are preventable if people have the right information and know how to take action if they suspect meningitis.

Your support will enable us to deliver that information, continue our crucial work and save lives. As we have lost almost 50% of our income this year, your support is more vital now than ever before.

The important bits:

With support from the fundraising team, runners are asked to raise a minimum of:

  • 10K - £150
  • Half Marathon - £300

If you have your own space in the event, we would love to offer you the same support. Let us know by clicking the Sign Up button below so we can welcome you to the team with no fundraising target!

By becoming part of our team, you will be helping us to achieve our goal of defeating meningitis wherever it exists. Your contribution will enable us to fund vital research into the disease, provide life-saving awareness information, and support those who have lost a loved one or are coping with the after effects of this disease.
