I was born in August 1959. Shortly after, I was diagnosed with brain meningitis, not sure what type but I do have tinnitus, and a few other side effects or what I have been told are side effects.

My family believed I would not live and because I did, I would have mental issues all my life. I am happy to say I'm doing great. I now lead a support group for fibromyalgia and chronic pain and raised two children, have two step children, thirteen grandchildren and eight great grands.

I enjoy living a real life.

Even if you do have it [meningitis], it doesn't have to have you.
