Julie Huynh

I am a clinician scientist in the field of paediatric infectious diseases and have interests in global child health, pragmatic clinical trials, childhood tuberculosis and central nervous system (CNS) infections including TB meningitis.

I am based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where I now work as a Clinical Research Paediatrician at Oxford University Clinical Research Unit.

I am the project lead for an internationally led phase 3 randomised controlled trial on short-intensified therapy for children with TB meningitis. I completed a PhD on improving the diagnosis and prognosis of childhood TB meningitis.

It is my vision to reduce the burden of childhood CNS infections and improve the care we provide by integrating practice-changing clinical trials into health care systems, particularly in the Asia Pacific region.
