We think global, but act local, working actively and in partnership to deliver as one.
For 2026-2028, the foundation hopes to implement a campaign dubbed FACE MENINGITIS GHANA, in line with UN SDG 3 (good health and well-being).
This may include these activities:
• Create a “Community Meningitis Talk” platform that allows participants to share their personal story of living with or experiencing meningitis, to help others understand the impact of the disease.
• Support the annual World Meningitis Day campaign, which includes activities like illuminating landmarks in green, sharing stories, and advocating for policy changes.
• Organize a series of training sessions for community-level volunteers to share information about meningitis symptoms, causes, and prevention methods, especially vaccinations, to help others protect themselves and their loved ones.
• Connect with individuals and families affected by meningitis through support networks and resources provided by organizations like Meningitis Research Foundation and CoMO.
• Convene a series of face-to-face public meetings that encourage open conversations, and share stories to help others understand the challenges and triumphs of living with meningitis.
• Advocate for policies: create a formal network of civil society actors, and support policies that promote vaccination and access to treatment for meningitis.
