I contracted meningitis at seven years old and thanks to a quick-acting mother and a wonderful medical team, recovered without physical effects. My experience is a large part of my identity and I’m always fascinated to meet others who suffered from meningitis and compare stories. I try to spread awareness and stay informed on progress made in meningitis prevention and research.
