I have a daughter who is 9 months old today, but at 24 days old she presented with fever and irritability, the diagnosis was Meningitis, I can say that facing the disease as a health professional is not the same as facing the disease as a patient.
During my daughter’s hospitalization, I had a lot to think about and, apart from the uncertainty about her condition, I got to know about CoMO, and now, thank God, my daughter seems to be fine and although we continue undergoing check-ups and therapies, I think we have been very lucky. Seeing this situation, I have the desire to learn more and raise awareness about this terrible disease and try to help as much as I can as a doctor and as a patient’s family member.
