Africa is currently our largest region – home to members from 20 countries and critically the continent where the highest global burden of meningitis is.
Coordinating this region is Omorodion Rhoda Omoile from Rivers State, Nigeria. Rhoda is a passionate social entrepreneur, advocate and founder of the Care and Development Centre (CADEC).

The Americas
The Americas is our second-largest membership region, with our members representing 10 countries from across the continent.
Patsy Schanbaum is our regional coordinator and she is based in the USA. Patsy is committed to defeating meningitis through education, community awareness and advocacy, having created the Joint Advocacy for Meningococcal Information and Education (J.A.M.I.E.) Group with her family. Patsy’s daughter, Jamie, is a meningitis survivor.

The Asia Pacific region was CoMO’s original home and is now the base for members from 15 countries.

Europe is home to members in 15 countries and where our central CoMO and Meningitis Research Foundation team is based.
Our regional coordinator is Elena Moya from Spain. Elena is the Vice President of Asociación Española Contra La Meningitis (AEM) and is passionate about supporting CoMO to establish new relationships and opportunities across Europe.
