Why defeating meningitis matters to our members
Meningitis has profoundly affected our lives. Some of us survived and live with lifelong disabilities. Some live with the shock and grief of losing a friend or family member.
Some of us are healthcare professionals or researchers, working to support people affected or to advance medical science. Some are organisations dedicated to prevention and awareness.
We are civil society representatives determined that no more families go through what we have. We won’t stop until this disease is defeated within our communities and countries.

Our activities
We raise awareness of meningitis symptoms, prevention and care. We advocate for change to global and national policy. We share our stories of how meningitis has impacted our lives. We organise events, we take part in global campaigns, we support people affected and more.

The WHO’s Global Road Map to Defeat Meningitis by 2030 is the first global plan to tackle the disease. We all have a role to play in making it a reality.
