Events Fundraiser

Salary: £18,000 pro rata + 6% pension contribution
Location: Bristol or homebased, There will be frequent travel to universities in the UK, and Ireland. If home based regualr visits to our office in Bristol will be required.
Contract type: Full time

Meningitis Research Foundation: We are a leading UK and international charity that aims to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia (also known as sepsis). It is an exciting time for the charity as we expand our reach and impact to meeting the challenges of meningitis and septicaemia wherever they exist in the world. We are set to play a key role in delivering a new global roadmap to defeat meningitis, alongside major international health organisations, including the World Health Organization.

The candidate: This is an exciting role at MRF within a successful and growing fundraising team, responsible for managing a sector leading portfolio of university student challenge events. The MRF Student Programme is responsible for a significant proportion of our events income with hundreds of students taking on a once in a lifetime challenge such as climbing Kilimanjaro, reaching Mount Everest Base Camp or trekking to Machu Picchu.

The role encompasses all aspects of our student events programme including, recruitment of university partners and event participants, training of campus leaders, liaising with our challenge provider and delivering high quality supporter care to ensure participants reach their fundraising target.

The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and alongside other members of the student fundraising team. Successful candidates will need to show a passion for our work and commitments to our high standards of supporter management and fundraising support. Candidates will need to be confident presenting both online and to live audiences
