In memory of Harry Mills

11 June 2007

Marlow Schoolboy Harry Mills tragically died from group B meningitis on 26 April 2007. The Mills family have raised a tremendous amount of money for Meningitis Research Foundation in Harry's memory, and have set up a website for anyone who wishes to donate to the Harry Mills fund at http://www.harrymills.co.uk/

Denise Vaughan, Chief Executive of Meningitis Research Foundation, said: 'Everyone at the Foundation was very sorry to hear of Harry's death. Meningitis and septicaemia can kill in hours and sometimes, despite the best efforts of families, doctors and nurses, it is not possible to save a life.

Vaccines give excellent protection, but cannot prevent all forms, and until research finds the key to ending meningitis and septicaemia completely, it is vital to know the symptoms, see www.meningitis.org/symptoms

Meningitis Research Foundation has a FREEfone 24 hour helpline for anyone concerned about the diseases.

We are very grateful to Judi and Richard Mills, their family and friends, for their generosity to the charity at this time'.
