Slimathon for meningitis - your loss is our gain
11 November 2003
Christmas is fast approaching and it's all too easy to let those festive feasts turn into extra inches around the waist! If you want a great incentive to lose weight then why not make your New Year's resolution to join Meningitis Research Foundation's annual Slimathon and help us take a step closer to our vision of a world free from meningitis and septicaemia.
Rosemary Conley, the UK's leading diet and fitness expert, who is backing this year's Slimathon said: "I am happy to be supporting Meningitis Research Foundation's Slimathon. Taking part in the event is a great way for you to support such a worthy cause and lose weight through healthy eating and exercise."
Your loss could be our gain. Taking part in the Foundation's Slimathon is easy - get your family, friends and colleagues to sponsor every pound that you lose from 1 January to 11 April. As your pounds and ounces fall off, the pounds and pennies will pile up - helping Meningitis Research Foundation to fund vital scientific research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia - the blood poisoning form of the disease - raise awareness, and offer support and befriending to those affected by the diseases.
Call the Slimline on 01454 281814 or email fundraising@meningitis.org for your Slimathon information pack. Our Pack includes fact sheets on healthy eating and exercise, a free gift, and the chance to win in our prize draw.
