Rockers raise money for meningitis research

21 May 2010

Music fans looking for a great upcoming band to check out can do so at Istead Rise Community Centre in Istead Rise. Kent on 29 May. Trading Places will be playing their thirteenth gig in support of the Foundation and in memory of Zoe Hogan who tragically passed away from meningitis at the beginning of the year.

Fans of ZZ Top, Bryan Adams and Whitesnake will be thrilled as Trading Places will be playing a medley of 70’s, 80’s and rock & pop hits and all proceeds from ticket sales will go towards vital funding for meningitis research.

Many events have already been organised by Zoe’s family and friends to raise the vital funds MRF needs to continue its research to one day find a cure and to honour her memory.

Zoe was a fit and healthy, 35 yr old mother of two girls, aged 6 and 9 yrs old. She was a kind, generous, and happy person who loved life and would always go out of her way to help others.

Organiser John Baker said: “Come out and enjoy an amazing night of live music and help raise awareness and money for a really important charity. Zoe loved music and this type of event would have been something she would have absolutely loved.”

DJ Steve Fenton will also be spinning great tunes after the gig, raffles and auctions offering up fantastic prizes and hot food available. The fun-filled evening kicks off at 7:00pm and ends at midnight.

Tickets can be purchased by contacting John at 01634 892115 or 0774 072 0388.
