MenB vaccine and at risk groups

04 April 2014

UK immunisation guidance has been updated to advise MenB vaccination for patients with medical conditions putting them at a higher risk of meningococcal disease.

People with asplenia, splenic dysfunction or complement disorders (including those on Soliris) should seek advice from their doctor about how to access this vaccine free of charge. People with these conditions may also need to get other meningitis vaccines if they haven’t already done so.
