Fashion and Fizz raises £906 for MRF

Fashion and Fizz raises £906 for MRF

28 May 2014

A big thank you to The Old Hall Hotel in Buxton for presenting us with a cheque last night for £906 from the proceeds of their Fashion and Fizz evening held on 11 April. The Hotel also provided much needed beds and baths for our walkers.

Our 25th anniversary walk which began on Friday 23 May in Sheffield covers over 100km of the beautiful Peak District National Park and ends on Friday 30 May with a tour of the National Meningitis Reference Laboratories in Manchester.

The walkers and members will then be given the opportunity to find out more about one of our research projects - the MRF Genome Library – a world first in medical research.

To read about the progress of the walk so far why not visit the blog: http://www.meningitis.org/blog/fundraising-mrf25-100km-peak-district-82201 and if you feel inspired by their efforts you could sponsor them at: http://www.justgiving.com/teams/walk25
