Research Site Visit

Date of event:

Find out more about the research we fund.

MRF will be conducting our next site visit to St Mary’s hospital (part of Imperial College, London) on Monday March 29th 2010. The project we are going to see is based on the psychological after-effects of meningitis and septicaemia, and is being run by Professor Elena Garralda and Dr Simon Nadel.

Prof Garralda is an experienced clinical psychiatrist and leads this study. Dr Nadel is a clinician and has treated many patients with both meningitis and septicaemia during his career. He also has a long association with MRF and is on our Scientific Advisory Panel.

The visit will involve a tour of the facilities, the opportunity to talk to the researchers and ask questions. If you are interested in joining us, and hearing about the work which MRF is funding, please e-mail katheriner@meningitis.org or call 01454 281811

You can find out more about our last site visit on our blog.

Lying there on my own in the room with no friends or family was very upsetting.
