The Communications Department can help members of the media by providing:
- a 24 hour media on-call service in the UK (07711 057875);
- up-to-date statistics and information on meningitis and septicaemia;
- up-to-date information on the current state of research into these diseases;
- a wide range of visual resources eg: photos, digital images, slides, video etc;
- interviews with health professionals, the Foundation's Head of Research and Medical Information, and members of the public with personal experience of these diseases .

Meningitis Research Foundation works with health professionals and families whose lives have been devastated by meningitis and septicaemia. The Foundation has over 5,500 member families with personal experience of meningitis and septicaemia. Many of the Foundation's members welcome the opportunity to tell their own stories in order to raise awareness of these diseases, and their signs and symptoms.
