Can you help MRF researchers?

10 August 2010

Researchers funded by MRF are looking for your help into their investigations about bacterial meningitis in babies.

If your baby had bacterial meningitis in the UK or Ireland when they were aged 90 days or less between June 2010 and July 2011 then you can help.

The study, at St George's University of London, aims to identify the number of cases, the cause and the antibiotics that are used to treat them, and also aims to find out the complications that occur.

Based on current practice and the best available evidence the researchers will produce a guideline for management of meningitis in babies.

Find out more by downloading the following document from St George's and then, if you feel you can help, get in touch with our Freefone 24 hour helpline on 080 8800 3344 (UK) 1800 41 33 44 (RoI).
