Waterside Half Marathon

Did you know that this half marathon was first run in 1981?  

There is also a 10 mile walking race and a 2K family fun run, so plenty for all to consider.  This race starts at the Gransha Grounds and is a two loop race taking runners along the dual carriageway past the rugby club and onto Temple Road before heading for Strathfoyle.  The circuit returns through the Maydown Industrial Estate bringing runners to the finish line which is back at the Gransha Grounds.

By becoming part of our team you will be helping to bring a world free from meningitis and septicaemia a step closer.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or disable in hours. Although anyone of any age can get the diseases, babies, children and young adults are most at risk.

Your contribution will enable us to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one or are coping with after effects, like Nikki.

Whether you’d like to apply for one of our charity places or already have your own place we’d be delighted if you ran for us. In return for raising money for us, we’ll supply you with a running pack and all the support you’ll need including:
