Virgin London Marathon

The World's most famous marathon

Thank you for your interest in running the 2015 London Marathon in support of Meningitis Research Foundation. Set over a largely flat course around the River Thames, and taking runners through many of central London’s top attractions the race is generally regarded as one of the most popular running events in the world and the UK’s most famous marathon.

Due to the limited number of spaces we have available in the race we operate an application system and ask all interested runners to complete this application form

Applications will be accepted until mid September 2014, and we will contact our successful applicants at the beginning of October 2014 – after the results of the public ballot. All applications will be considered on an individual basis, and we also recommend that you enter the London Marathon’s Public Ballot. Please keep an eye on the official London Marathon website for when this will be.
Ask a question I have a place already

By becoming part of our team you will be helping to bring a world free from meningitis and septicaemia a step closer.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or disable in hours. Although anyone of any age can get the diseases, babies, children and young adults are most at risk.

Your contribution will enable us to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one or are coping with after effects, like Melinda.

  • Sponsor forms and advice about setting up an online sponsorship page at Justgiving.com
  • Fundraising information to help you meet and beat your fundraising target
  • Meningitis Research Foundation running vest or T-shirt to wear on the day
