Virgin London Marathon

You are invited to apply for one of our bond places for the 2014 Virgin London Marathon but please be aware that our places are very limited.

We will make our decision in September/October once the results from the ballot are announced.

By becoming part of our team you will be helping to bring a world free from meningitis and septicaemia a step closer.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or disable in hours. Although anyone of any age can get the diseases, babies, children and young adults are most at risk.

Your contribution will enable us to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one or are coping with after effects, like Melinda.

Whether you’d like to apply for one of our charity places or already have your own place in the marathon we’d be delighted if you ran for us. In return for raising money for us, we’ll supply you with a running pack and all the support you’ll need including:

• Training advice and a full training plan for the event
• Sponsor forms and advice about setting up an online sponsorship page at Justgiving.com
• Fundraising information to help you meet and beat your fundraising target
• Meningitis Research Foundation running vest or T-shirt to wear on the day
