TrekFest Peak District

05 - 06 September 2015, Peak District, Walking

TrekFest Peak District

TrekFest is a tough UK challenge for tough and adventurous trekkers. Join us for either the 27 mile or 54 mile challenge this September in the stunning Peak District.

TrekFest will test you to your limits – it’s a life changing experience that will uncover strengths that you never knew you had!

Taking on TrekFest is no mean feat, but the challenge is simple – every trekker aims to complete the 54 mile route within 24 hours, the 27/29 mile route within 12 hours or the 13 mile route within 6 hours.

There is no getting away from the fact that TrekFest is tough; but it is achievable, as around 1,500 trekkers from 2014 will tell you.

It hurts; it will push you; there are moments when you will doubt yourself, but you can and will succeed with the right physical training and mental preparation. You can register as a team and support each other or register as an individual and our fantastic TrekFest Crew will support you.

We have a base camp, ‘The TrekFest Village’ at each location, with loads of facilities available for participants - showers, camping plots and hot served food regularly. All the challenge routes will start and finish at The Village. You are welcome to come along and camp on the Friday night before your challenge. Hot food will be available to buy and tents, caravans and camper vans are welcome, so bring the family and make a weekend of it!

By becoming part of our team you will be helping to bring a world free from meningitis and septicaemia a step closer.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or disable in hours. Although anyone of any age can get the diseases, babies, children and young adults are most at risk.

Your contribution will enable us to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one or are coping with after effects, like Daraine.
