The Foundation's fundraising team in Ireland is happy to help organise and promote your fundraising events across the country.

If you would like advice about how to get started with an event of your own, to support us in one of the events listed below, or want to make use of our local knowledge, let us know and we'll be happy to help you out.

The charity funds research to prevent meningitis and septicaemia, and to improve survival rates and outcomes. The Foundation promotes education and awareness to reduce death and disability, and gives support to people affected.

2 June - Dublin Flora Women's Mini Marathon 10k

Dublin Women's Mini Marathon

Yes girls...It's that time of year again to dig out your running, walking or strolling shoes and get ready for the 26th Flora Dublin Women's Mini Marathon. The biggest
all-women's event of its kind in the world will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, June 2nd we need you! 

Everyone can also look forward to enjoying a fabulous "After the Race" party with goodie bags, drinks, nibbles and good company in beautiful Ron Black's Bar.

Golfing Marvin

He's nothing if not versatile, Marvin our friendly monster.

We've caught him in action in a series of four high quality badges as he plays football, parties, putts and shows his romantic side.

A must for collectors, the badges could be yours for a suggested donation of  €2 each by sending a cheque made payable to Meningitis Research Foundation to:

A wedding, big birthday, christening?

Why not show your family and friends how much you care through a gift to charity. People are now opting to donate 'favour' money directly to the Foundation and indicate the donation on invitations, guest cards placed on the tables or provide their guests with one of our Marvin Badges.

Volunteering

We cannot exist without volunteers and their priceless help. We are happy to have volunteers of all ages, so whether you are looking for work experience or you have some spare time to offer, we would love to hear from you.

There are many ways you can help us:

  • volunteer in our Dublin  office
  •  help at street collections in your area
  •  help sell Marvin Pins
  •  receive a Home Collection Box for all those spare cents lying around your house
  •  help place and service Collection Cans in shops around area to help raise vital funds
  •  if you have a car, could you help us with deliveries every now and then?
