Newtownards Half Marathon and 10 mile walk

Pace yourself

This race should interest people from the County Down area.  The Ards half marathon is an undulating to hilly run on both roads and footpaths.  It begins and finishes at the Newtownards Leisure Centre.  The route loops through surrounding picturesque countryside before coming back into the town.

We would welcome any support from runners and walkers who may be thinking of entering as there is no official charity this year.  Each of our participants will receive a t-shirt and sponsorship forms.

You can register for the event on the Ards Council website, then please contact Emma below

By becoming part of our team you will be helping to bring a world free from meningitis and septicaemia a step closer.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or disable in hours. Although anyone of any age can get the diseases, babies, children and young adults are most at risk.

Your contribution will enable us to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one or are coping with after effects, like Sue and Cieran.
