In 2015 Rat Race City to Summit, arguably the hardest iron-distance triathlon in the world, will be back to push you beyond your limits.
Swim 2.4 miles in the Firth of Forth, Cycle 112 miles across the Scottish Highlands, and Run 27 miles through rough terrain before heading up and over Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peak. We aren’t bragging when we say this race takes endurance to a whole new level.
The 2014 edition took place in stunning sunshine for the second year running and the lead racers were able to enjoy 360 degree views from the top of Ben Nevis. Despite the great conditions, the race left its mark on competitors who unreservedly described it as ‘brutal’.
This is a 140 mile race where even the lead racer takes 3 hours to cover the final 7 miles. A challenge indeed!Register online
