Flora Women's Mini Marathon

Over 40,000 women took part last year – make sure you’re there this year.

This year’s Flora mini marathon is going to be bigger and better than ever and we really want us to get noticed.

We’re looking for as many ladies as possible to don the purple and white for us and get out on the streets.

You don’t have to be super fit to take part – you can walk, run or jog the course and at 10km - we think that’s doable!

By becoming part of our team you will be helping to bring a world free from meningitis and septicaemia a step closer.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or disable in hours. Although anyone of any age can get the diseases, babies, children and young adults are most at risk.

Your contribution will enable us to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one or are coping with after effects, like Lesley.

Whether you’d like to apply for one of our charity places or already have your own place in the half marathon we’d be delighted if you ran for us. In return for raising money for us, we’ll supply you with a running pack and all the support you’ll need including:

• Training advice and a full training plan for the event
• Sponsor forms and advice about setting up an online sponsorship page at Justgiving.com
• Fundraising information to help you meet and beat your fundraising target
• Meningitis Research Foundation running vest or T-shirt to wear on the day
