BUPA Great North Run

Join our team for the world’s most popular half marathon

Join us for one of our most exciting events of the year, the world famous Great North Run.

We were pleased to have one of our biggest ever teams in 2014 and we’re confident 2015 is going to be even bigger.

Starting in Newcastle, the course takes in the iconic Tyne Bridge, goes through Gateshead passing the famous international athletics stadium and finishes in the coastal town of South Shields. The unique atmosphere of this half marathon is what makes it such a special event to take part in and is undoubtedly our flagship running event.

We have a limited number of places available and once again we expect to fill up well in advance of July’s registration deadline, so it’s a good idea to get your application in as soon as you can. Please click ‘Request an application form’ if you’d like to enter with one of our charity places.

If you have secured a place through the public ballot and would like to run as part of our team, please click ‘I have a place already’

By becoming part of our team you will be helping to bring a world free from meningitis and septicaemia a step closer.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or disable in hours. Although anyone of any age can get the diseases, babies, children and young adults are most at risk.

Your contribution will enable us to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one or are coping with after effects, like Tilly.
