Annual fundraising walk

Support us during Meningitis Awareness Week 2013

Wondering how you can get involved and support Meningitis Awareness Week 2013? We have the perfect solution. Join us and take part in our sponsored walk in the picturesque Phoenix Park.

The walk will mark the end of Awareness Week taking place on Sunday September 22. We want your help to raise €5,000 so we can continue the work we do supporting people affected by meningitis and septicaemia, fund research and raise awareness.

Support and aftercare services are an extremely important part of our work. We work with people supporting them from the initial onset of disease to living with the after-effects. Over 25% of people who survive suffer from long term effects such as amputations, deafness, sight loss, brain damage, residual headaches, epilepsy or emotional problems like temper tantrums or depression.

Please bring your friends, family and neighbours and help us make a difference.

By becoming part of our team you will be helping to bring a world free from meningitis and septicaemia a step closer.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or disable in hours. Although anyone of any age can get the diseases, babies, children and young adults are most at risk.

Your contribution will enable us to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one or are coping with after effects, like Daraine.
