TrekFest Brecon Beacons

07 - 08 June 2014, Brecon Beacons, Walking

TrekFest Brecon Beacons

TrekFest is a tough UK challenge for tough and adventurous trekkers. Join us for either the 27 mile or 54 mile challenge this June in the stunning Brecon Beacons.

The Brecon Beacons are the beautiful and stunning hills that run through the centre of South Wales and are the training ground of the SAS. As you can imagine, The Beacons route will provide you with an extreme physical workout and a psychologically taxing challenge. We will cross the highest peaks in the Beacons and South Wales including Pen y Fan (886m), Corn Du (873m), Cribyn (795m) and Fan y Big (719m) –guaranteeing a spectacular charity challenge!

Whether you opt for the ultimate 54 mile route or the 27mile half route option, Trek Fest will be both a physical and mental challenge, guaranteed to give you an amazing buzz when you reach the finish.

If you are looking for a challenge that’s a bit different then this is the event for you! We’d love to have you on our team and in return for raising money for Meningitis Research Foundation, we’ll supply you with a fundraising pack and all the support you’ll need including:

  • Training advice and a full training plan for the event
  • Sponsor forms and advice about setting up an online sponsorship page at Justgiving.com
  • Fundraising information to help you meet and beat your fundraising target
  • Meningitis Research Foundation T-shirt

By becoming part of our team you will be helping to bring a world free from meningitis and septicaemia a step closer.

Meningitis and septicaemia are devastating diseases which can kill or disable in hours. Although anyone of any age can get the diseases, babies, children and young adults are most at risk.

Your contribution will enable us to fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, provide life-saving awareness information and support people who have lost a loved one or are coping with after effects, like Daraine.
