Meningitis Research Foundation works with companies, large and small, to fight meningitis and septicaemia.
Meningitis and septicaemia are indiscriminate diseases that can kill in hours and continue to strike with little or no warning. They can affect anyone of any age at any time, but babies, children and young adults are most at risk.
More than one in ten people who get the diseases will die and many more are left with a range of disabilities and after effects that dramatically alter their lives. These can include deafness, paralysis, cerebral palsy, mental impairment, blindness, epilepsy, amputations, scarring and a range of less specific problems.
