Skydived for MRF
It was the day of my
charity skydive for Meningitis Research Foundation. In the morning it wasn’t too bad but when I arrived down to Skydive Ireland the nerves were starting to build up but I kept it to myself, it was time for training where I was given instruction on how to position my body when jumping from the aircraft and again for when I was landing .... The Skydive trainers were taking groups of two and then came where myself and another girl where whisked away in a back of van 'The a team style' down to the runway .
I’m sitting there on the plane with mixed emotions running through me but there was no turning back and kept saying in my head 'Its for a good cause' ..The pilot screamed 'DOOR' meaning its time to jump ... I’m hanging outside the aircraft and the trainer whispers in my ear '1'2 arghhh and I’m now punching the air so to speak my delight and happiness as I'm gliding through the sky at 10'000 feet ... We then make our decent to land ..
It was an amazing thrill ride and would do it again and again...
