A fond farewell to Anne Kinsman

Anne Kinsman, Administration Officer at our Bristol office, will leave the Foundation on 14 August. Anne has worked at MRF for three years and leaves us to move closer to family in Yorkshire.

We'll all miss Anne, as will the people who've encountered her as first point of contact for MRF. If you've phoned the Bristol office during the last three years, chances are you've spoken to Anne. If you've ordered awareness or fundraising literature, Anne is the reason it arrived on your doorstep. As part of the Admin team she's supported all of our departments and helped keep MRF running smoothly.

MRF staff and volunteers put on a surprise leaving party for Anne on 13 August. Office Manager Paul George presented leaving gifts, cards, and a bespoke golden sellotape-dispenser to mark our appreciation of her dedication to the Foundation.

We'd like to wish Anne all the best for the future, and look forward to her popping in for a visit whenever she's in the Bristol area.

I, too, was very sorry to miss Anne's leaving party, but would like to echo all the positive comments already made about her. As a colleague Anne was highly professional, keeping on top of a wide range of tasks with admirable calmness and efficiency -if you ever asked Anne to do something you could rely on it being done! As a person she was always cheerful, and interested in all sorts of things, and my knowledge of local history has been improved on many occasions by fascinating conversations with Anne about local places and events. So I wish you all the best, Anne, and hope you know how well regarded you were by everyone here.

I was really sorry to have missed Anne's leaving Party and that I didn,t get the change to wish her well in her new venture, but i'll certainly miss her, she was always so helpful and friendly and you were always greeted by her smile. I wish Anne every happiness and send her lots of love and look forward to hearing from her.

We all understand her reasons and desire to move back up north to be closer to her family and wish her every success and happiness as she returns to her ‘old’ new life back in Yorkshire. Anne is one of those very rare breed of people about who is true to say, everyone like her. Anne is engaging, willing to help at every opportunity, always cheery regardless of what is happening in her personal life, in fact not one person I’ve met has a bad work to say about Anne….. Until now…!

Anne I think it is very selfish of you to leave, putting your own happiness first without a thought for me! You do realise that I have now got to re-learn all the aspects of my job, that for the past three years, I have been able to ignore, forget and leave in your capable hands knowing that they would be done on time and more importantly correctly each and every time!

Anne will be sorely missed by all who have had the pleasure to work with her over these past three years. I will miss you. Paul

Comment by Harpinder Collacott - MRF Head of Communications and Campaigns

Anne has been a great colleague who keeps the staff in order with kitchen etiquette, keeps the fridge stocked with milk and most importantly ensures all our awareness mailings are undertaken efficiently throughout the year. She will be greatly missed by the Communications Department, who rely on her for all the support we require with mailing of materials especially during campaign time.
