Hi I'm Shirley and I'm Head of Helpline and Membership at MRF.
Shirley, Becki, Victoria and Laura were pleased to meet our members on a gloriously sunny day at Blenheim Palace last Sunday.
The surroundings were just fantastic. As for the jousting, children were encouraged to join the jousting teams in the arena following the falconry display to act as ‘Kings Men and young ladies’ parading around, some in authentic costumes! Then the knight jousters enacted a tournament on horseback, gosh, they went at a gallop. A fun afternoon was had by all.
We were privileged to hear members' personal stories first hand, instilling in us the need for vaccine research, improved treatments and follow up care. Our thanks goes to those who visited the stand, purchased early Christmas cards and support us in our work. Further members' days will be planned for 2011 – watch this space!
